The CF Bedford Take Outs ...

The bits that got added but then taken out

As I've been updating the build pages I've found a few photos of bits that I made but then removed from MID8 the van. Thought someone might get some ideas from them and maybe even add some to their own van

Above, Photo 1: high stop light, no roof spoiler. Photo 2, 3 & 4: dashboard ideas.

Above, Photo 1, 2 & 3: original grill vs twin round headlights. Photo 4: Standard steering column with flash steering wheel.

Above: Photo 1, 2 & 3: Tail lights ideas. Photo 4: Original idea for bonnet was air rams (going up) but regulations stuffed that idea up, this idea was a worm drive.

Above: photo 1: Autoloc actuator worked out to be to strong, ended up using a smaller softer one for all doors. Photo 2: lights in bottom of the back door. Photo 3: the original dash and engine cover angle. Photo 4: gull wing side door.

Above: Photo 1 & 2: aircon unit with heater. Photo 3 & 4: new firewall after refitting full size windscreen

Above: Photo 1: Reverse light on headlight motor. Photo 2 & 3: squared tail light openings. Photo 4: curved tail light openings but moved up to body line.

Above: Photo 1: Jag diff was in the cage. Photo 2: Fuel tank was fitted via the top.

As you can see, lots of chopping and changing. There was never a plan, just made it up as I went. Well the original plan was the 4 week one, look how that worked out ;)
