The main tank (130 litres) is housed in the wall, while I have control over the tank, I don't on the furniture in the room ;).
The most common question I get asked is how do I feed them, or clean the tank, the answer is easy, there is a cupboard door in the hallway (behind the tank) which qives full access to it.
Because it is an exsisting cupboard, head room is a slight problem as the door frame is at standard height. A chair is needed to stand on to reach the bottom of the tank but very rarely do I need to.
The tank includes two undergravel filters, but under gravel filters only collect the waste under them, so I made up a maze of tubes that are connected under the plates with holes in the rubber tubes to suck out the waste. Sorry no photos of this.
The tubes were connected to a washing machine pump, but that sprung a leak, so then connected it straight to an external filter but found it moved around to much bad ammonia so now is just connected to taps below the tank which allows me to suck out the waste while I do a weekly water change.

These fish are a few years old now, have always been in pretty good health with the odd white spot (elk) scare when they were young.
These guys love to play the "poor me, I'm hungry, feed me, I'm starving" look.
They know when it's dinner time (about 5:30pm) and do a big dance about half an hour before hand. These are the perfect fish as they love showing off to guests and will always follow you across the tank, they are so tame if I cup my hand in the water under them I could stroke them. I wouldn't as they have a layer over them.
They are smart at the same time as they know what a fish net is and do everything they can to avoid it.The plants are mostly plastic as these fish love eating real plants, no matter what type, they will eat them.
Included in the decorations are two bits of drift wood, a cremiac tunnel and numerous plants as well as white and grey fish pebbles. The tank also has an internal filter and a external filter to clear away any excess and give the water some circulation.
